I've been asked to install a tap on the outside of a timber frame house. Obviously, I'll need to drill a hole in the wall but could this cause any future problems due to the waterproof membrane within the wall ?

Thank you

It shouldn't if you fill the hole around the pipe with silicon but cover your back and tell your customer your concern, in fact, put it in writing with the quote or invoice.

Thank you for the post Paulus. I'll silicone round the back of the wall plate elbow and tell the customer what I've done and why.

here we go outside tap the epitome of plumbing engineering

how many answers and arguements over this then
