We have an Ideal Isar HE24 fitted and I can't seem to turn the CH off.

While not really a problem now, in the summer it is a killer. When the boiler is on we usually have the Hot Water set to the Maximum temp and the CH set to the minimum. All radiators are fitted with Thermostats on them. When we turn the Stats off for some reason the boiler shows "C" on the screen (flashing) when there is no call for DHW. It ends up that we have to turn the boiler off when not in use for DHW in the summer (or at night) as for some reason it just seems to keep feeding the CH with hot water.

Is there something wrong or is it like this by design? By leaving the boiler on 24/7 it uses quite a bit of gas (more than just pilot gas and pre-heating the DHW) and is quite loud.

Any help much appreciated.

What timeswitch/thermostat do you have? Sounds more like a control issue than a boiler issue to me.
