Hi Folks could you please give me some advice what Heating Controls I should fit to the following System
I am converting 2 adjacent Houses into 1 and I am upgrade the Heating System to supply 2 Bathrooms and 4 En-Suits along with a total radiator load of 100,000BTU all to be fed from a single 40KW LPG System Boiler, feeding an unvented 300ltr 3 coil water tank. The tank could also be heated from a Back Boiler, with a spare coil so a Solar System could be added at a later stage, it would also have a standard 3KW Imersion Heater fitted. I was hoping to have the finished Heating System split into 4 zones controlled from multi Zone Programmer. I was hoping to use as many Wireless Products as possible but I don’t know if they would suit our System because the premises is split in 2, one old section (Ground,First, and Second Floor`s) with thick stone walls the other new (Ground and First Floor) built with standard Block walls. Another complicating factor is we have Wireless Smoke Detector/Alarm Units in use throughout both buildings, along with Microwave Ovens in use in the Kitchen, and 1 set of 5 cordless Phones.
As I said I was hoping to have the System split into 4 Zones

Zone 1 New Building section for Downstairs Heating to be controlled by up to 2 Stats

Zone 2 New Building section for Upstairs Heating to be controlled by up to 2 Stats.
Zone 3 Old Building section (The Complicated one) to be controlled by 5 Stats that also control the individual Radiators (1 in each room) in the Rooms where the stats are placed in.
Zone 4 Domestic Hot Water Heated by the Gas Boiler or 3KW Electric Water Heater if Switched on and the Gas was off.
The Rooms in Zone 3 (the older Building) are located about 20/25 Metres away from the Control Programmer, all other Stats, Boiler Controls and Hot Water Tank would be about 5 Metres from the Programmer. If it was more convenience Zone 3 could be treated as a separate wireless Zone and any Control Signals could be hard wired back to the central Programmer.
Thanks
Tiny

Honeywell Evohome

Go to Installers then, Applications (on the left) and download the Applications Manual.

It's new to the market, so you will probably need to find a [DLMURL="http://www.honeywelluk.com/find-an-installer/Find-An-Installer/"]Honeywell Installer[/DLMURL] to advise you and install it.

In my experience the Honeywell RF kit seems to do better with regard to range than others, though it cant work miracles, thick stone walls are real killers of signal it may be worht trying to get hold of your local Honeywell rep to do a site visit.

If you are good for RF the evo home kit will save a lot of alterations with the plumbing and is a tinkerers delight with all the various settings and options.
