Hi all, anyone know g.c number for ferroli domicondens f24, boiler under warranty and thought landlord was getting engineer out so I didn't note it. Need to order a part now, as he said I was to to do job instead.

am i right in thinking some boilers that are the same models but can have different GC numbers on the data badge

Yes, sometimes manufacturers do different versions of the same model with minor differences.

I have had that issue before when looking for replacement parts and having the correct GC number only to be told they did 2 different gas valves or worse still on a old vaillant to be told it was a hybrid model and the way to tell was Blah blah, I always take a photo now or better still bring the part with me

Maybe that's why I can't find it on any web site, every time I find it there is no number next to it, I have found the f28 version and could maybe go on that for part as its a thermistor.
The instruction manual is about 4 pages, worst I have seen!
Thanks for info, might be a trip back after all

yes or have a different serial number, its to do with manufacturers updating or resolving design faults on earlier released models.

most manufactures issue a new number after slight design updates as Rob has said, though its not always done for small changes. Had a worcester combi years ago which had a faulty part that did not match the gc number so had to remove the part and take it to parts shop. It turned out to be an older part from a older model, they must have reverted back to it after problems with a newer designed one.

So been back to check g.c number and believe it or not there isn't one. Plenty places they have serial number. I'm really hating ferroli more than ever
