Hello all,

I am trying to remove a radiator so that I can build a wall in the living room. Drained the system, removed the radiator and now I am a little stuck now that it's come to removing the pipes sticking up from the floor.

I was told this was a simple job of cutting the pipes as close to the join and popping on some 15mm compression caps. So I bought the pipe cutter and caps, lifted the boards and was met with what you see in the pictures.

My question is, where am I supposed to be cutting the pipes? I cannot see a joint apart from where they are connected to a plastic/rubber tube.

Any thoughts? And thanks in advance

Cut the copper 6" past the plastic push fit elbow and put the stop end there.
