I want to change over 2 old rads for new ones and move one of them. If i drain down the system say tomorrow, can i re-pressurise the system without inhibitor and use the heating for 7 days ?

The reason being is that a week monday the plumber is going to move the boiler 60cm to the right on the wall as it is in the wrong place. We will also change the route of the piping.

Another question is about cleaning the system after doing the works. Do i need to clean the system if i am going to add 2m of 15mm piping to a rad in one bedroom and swap over the other one. Also the 22mm flow and return and the hot and cold feed will be cut and new pipe layed up the wall (3m approx). I do have a magnaclan on the system so the water is nice and clear.

Hi. I personally do not think it's a problem, 7 day will not create issues.

I'd have a looksie at the water when you drain it. I've never come across crystal clear heating water and only once where it was really black. So if you think it's quite clean you can probably get away without a cleaner. Just draining and refilling does most of what a cleaner does anyway.

Unlikely to cause issues. Just a gentle reminder-ensure boiler is turned off.
