Starting my shopping list with bath waste. Which sealant would you recommend? I take it would be different to the one I sealed my floor with.
Thanks Jim! Got myself some Everflex and will tackle it later on. You guys have been invaluable.I use good quality sanitary silicone sealant, Nemesis, Dow 781, Everflex 500 white or clear, you'll need paper nearby at least or ideally Wonder/Soudal/Tygis Wipes.
Make sure you make a good CONTINUOUS bead around both sides of the fitting, not too much and not to little - any gap and the water WILL get through.

I would NOT use silicone. Use Plumbers Mait.
It does not rely on 'solidifying' so is far more flexible than silicone and accommodates far more movement through temp variation because it 'self heals'.
