Hi All,

Can anyone advise me if there is a minimum distance between multiple boss connections into a stub soil stack where they all enter the stack on one side? Unfortunately I can't get a manifold in the space available.

I want to connect 2 x 40mm (1 x 40mm for double kitchen sink and 1 x 40mm for dishwasher) and 1 x 32mm (for hand wash basin) waste pipes, one above the other, into one side of a 110mm stub soil stack, see dimension d1 and d2 on drawing.

Anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a boss pipe that would suit or should I use 3 off strap-on bosses?

Kind regards.

Hi duff
I think it's 200mm between centres.
Check out building regulations Part H.
Good Luck.

Stap on bosses will be fine
I have always put 100 mm apart never had a problem

Hi duffsparky, you could fit one of these below but I think they look like a pigs ear. Stole the piccy from screwfix. They're about £14

oops sorry all. That would be the medicinal red wine :) Lol. I didn't even see the diagram. Although seeing the diagram it does beg the question why couldn't you cut the stub stack and pop in a manifold. it would take up less room in the end. I can tell I am not helping, i;m off to bed. Night night.

He said he can't fit a manifold in for some reason mate

The stub stack is in the wall and the lowest pipe will need to be just above floor level to get enough fall. So unless I chop out more wall and some of the concrete floor from the next room I can't get a manifold in the space available.

Paul, what was the red wine?

Sorry about that duffsparky. I should reply to posts half cut. I hope you get it sorted without too much bother. The wine? It was a lovely Rioja. I don't know what the second one was lol. Talking of getting slammed where do they hold the UK Plumbers Forum Christmas party? :)

Sat here chuckling trying to work out what dontknowitall means, I might be being a bit thick :)

Oops - mixed up the Merlot for me vampire tendencies ...

I'll crawl back into me hole :)
