Discuss What is the sound I hear when the shower gets up to temperature? in the Bathrooms, Showers and Wetrooms area at PlumbersForums.net

We moved into a house in the summer and there are two showers, one upstairs, one downstairs. We are using the downstairs one as the one upstairs needs replacing and have noticed that when you turn the shower on, after a short while there is a longish beep. It sounds like it comes from maybe the ceiling or behind the shower and seems to happen when the shower has got up to temperature. I'm just curious what this is? It doesn't happen with the upstairs shower as far as we are aware.
