Hey folks,
I am hoping you can help me solve a bit of a mystery.
My water pressure drops on occasion, kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower (electric) meaning the temperature fluctuates and it shuts off.
I haven't had any plumbing work done but my downstairs neighbours have, the water supply was cut off at the wee drain in our shared square I believe it was a new washing machine but that there were some plumbing issues from previous tenant (hence the water supply had to be turned off.
This may of no relevance but I need an idea of what could cause intermittent loss of pressure and if it's something I can rectify or if I need a plumber.
Thanks in advance.

What a polite lady...welcome to the forums Cat.....regards Turnpin:)

Ah not always Turnpin 🤪
I was swearing in the shower last night 🤬🤬🤬 when it shut down & alarmed, I ended up stood in the scud with shampoo in my hair, took a good 10 mins to get going again 🙄

I have used these forums in the past & always had excellent support & advice...I can do most DIY but plumbing & electrics give me the fear!

Cheers

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hi all, I'm installing a concrete patio out back. By the wall under the kitchen sink I have an existing P-Trap gully for the grey water from the sink, dishwasher, washing machine etc. When I pour the concrete there won't be any chance to dig it up anymore. From my own research I get the...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
