Just widen the trap on the bath and get rid of the toilet all together!
 
lol the after photo looks good are you going to post a finished photo?
 
How did the custrad flush the toilet before you "shortned the bath"?
 
Just stand on the pan, point your bum in the general direction of the bath, problem solved.
