Alright gents.

I am just wondering if anyone knows of any courses to get gas engineers up to date. As I've got my tickets but had to do them through the short course route and I've been a meter fitter for BG nearly 2 years and now emergency FCO for southern gas networks as a contractor again nearly 2 years. So only 4 years in the industry.

I thinking of jumping now but I know my knowledge isn't %100 on certain things etc and wouldn't realy take on a brakedowns etc. Ive seen some real cowboys out there as an emergency engineer and wouldn't be able to showy face if I took someone's money and left them the way these people have.

Just wondering if anyone has been in my position and what they did you expand there knowledge.

Thanks

Hi, Later this year I am going away for a 2 week holiday and as the weather will be warm there is no need for the heating to be on and arguably no need for me to needlessly heat hot water. My intention was to turn the boiler off along with the mains water when going away. Now, I have heard...
