Hello

The existing tap is leaking in the kitchen. Few days back, it randomly let out more water than what it was leaking before and it created a mess.

Need some help on replacing a old kitchen tap.

Here are some pictures for the old tap and new tap that we have in kitchen. I have also attached coupe of pictures which will detail what fitting are under the sink including flexi pipe connections. Please let me know if you need more details/pictures.

1. I am not sure what the third pipe in the new tap is. Need some advise on the fittings for it. New tap model - GROHE Eurosmart Cosmopolitan 31161000

2. Need some help on the size of the fittings that I should buy and use for the connection between new flexi pipe (as the new tap's flexi pipe is smaller than what we already have in the house) and cold/hot water supply.

New tap required

As the 3rd pipe is for “integrated stop valve so you can easily cut off the water to your dishwasher whenever necessary”

Grohe ones are 3/8th

ok. I thought so. Can I not easily close the dish washer water supply with a fitting ?

I thought I will close this valve off and in future if required (when the existing dishwasher fails needing a replacement, then I will use this one).

Please advise.

You might be able but uk is a 3/4 bsp (should measure 1” od) I doubt yours is the same prob 1/2 measure 3/4” od

Agreed.

For now even If I close this dishwasher supply pipe, that is enough for me. I may never use this in the future. The dishwasher pipe can stay inactive for life if I can never use them. Existing dishwasher is going ok.

Also for flexi water supply pipes in the new tap, I will use some compression fittings ? Please advise if that's ok and if the fittings are available in the market ?

Grohe normally include adapters compression one end and 3/8th the other
