To whom it may concern,
I have completed my second and final year of plumbing studies (technical certificate level2) at Bedford College. I am now ready to do my NVQ level 2, In order for me to achieve this I need to further my practical experience within the workplace.
I am therefore enquiring as to whether you have any openings for a plumber’s mate/labourer in the near future.
I have always had a conscientious and positive attitude towards work and now believe that I have found the career which feels right for me.
I have a real passion for plumbing and feel that I would be a real asset to any team if given the chance.
I would therefore be grateful for any opportunity that you may be able to offer in order for me to progress in my chosen field.

Yours sincerely

:welcome2:to the forum Matthew.
there is a "looking for work section", worth posting there as well, but don't hold your breath for a response.
keep asking everyone local to yourself and you might just get lucky.

Hmm, nothing in that stands out matthew.
Copy and pasted from what the college lecturers had you write?

in this game with people who you want to learn with are mainly sole traders or one man bands.

so you want a personal touch, you're not applying for an office job here!

we get people post up all the time, the interesting ones get noticed :)

That post would be great sent to a big company, and put in the file to be chosen at random once a year :)

try to meet plumbers at screwfix or merchants, joke about being their tea boy and they might give you a chance!!!!

Welcome Mathew. Im in the same field with the technical certificate. Lucky me works with a full time gas engineer and covered almost everything in real practical except leadwork, which is discontinued of the plumbers work.
Your best to post the request to the other forum as explained. But in the meantime, we wish you the very best and hope that you get the position you need to fulfil the desire and tell us how you are progressing tricks here at the UKPF
Best of luck
Spanner.
