hello everybody,
just joined today, about 2 years ago
i passed my c&g 6129,since then ive been s/e
and picking quite a bit of work up,mainly bathroom suites,
about 4 or somert, taps, and bits here and there.
would anyone be so kind to advice me what to aim for next,
is it exspensive to go for boiler performance testing,
and what kind of time scale this will take.i live in lincolnshire
and the domestic side of things seems to me pretty slow.
thanks gray.

Hi Gray

Welcome to the forums

You have to keep moving in this trade ,advancing yourself were you can, gaining new skills, trouble is learning can be expensive on the pocket these days

imho

yeah thankyou,
and tell me about it.what kind of money am i looking at
for boiler performance checks /time and is 6129 enougth
for the privalage.thanks steveb and puddle.

Welcome, when you say boiler checks, do you mean how much does it cost to get gas registered? Well I worked a year for free to get my portfolio, then paid to go to college and take my exams, then I paid to join gas safe, then I paid for a flue gas analyser, then i paid for my energy efficiency course etc etc.

Add it all up and that comes to........................ expensive :)

Does get very expensive! I am just doing my nvq 2 working towards 3 and acs! Costing a fortune buy well worth it

yes i talked to a training centre yesterday,he reckons best part of 6 grand and im good to go.
well done on your path mate, must have been hard.thanks for the advice....

thanks mate,i know been there with 6129,but it feels so good.
im eager to reach my next level...
