I have just noticed that Plumbase are selling an Ideal Icombi - I suspect that this is a logic independant with another case, has anyone seen one in the flesh, are the internals the same>?

Cant agree more. Buy one, take it out the box, polish it, paint it black, hit it with a hammer then throw it in the scrap!

I've decided to run my old fgs to death then get a new one"!! I'm gettin sick and tired of the need for this up to date testing carp!!!

its only a year old bought a anton v1 after the high costs and reliability of my old tpi, with the anton first year calibration is £50plus p+p

Not sure if it is an esprit, the burner/expansion vessel are vertical next to each other, looking at the diagrams it seems more like a logic than an esprit - however part numbers for the esprit and logic do not seem to match the icombi

My local merchants have got them in and they an independent in a different case

I might be thinking if the I Mini? I might have gotten a bit mixed up, I may even be totally wrong with the Imini being a repackaged Esprit!!!! they've chopped and changed so bleedn' much :)

imini looks the same as the logic but cheaper and are on sale in plumb centre

Cheers Gery I thought it resembled one of the Ideal's :) & yep it was plumb centre where I'd seen it! Actually fit one for a Landlord a month or so back! that should keep me in repairs for a while

i think the logic + seems a decent boiler, installed alot of them in the past few months, look easy to repair, tells customer when to contact installer if there is a leak etc, installed 2 espirts and they are rubbish

I don't do many installs but like yourself have chosen the Logic+ on a few occasions. Only had one issue with a hot water turbine! The esprit has the isar pcb YAK!!!
