I have a mixer tap on bath, flow on left temperature right but leaking, found a replacement but the flow and temperature reversed, is that ok

I have a shower mixer tap on bath, flow on left temperature right but leaking from temperature control on right side, found a replacement but the flow and temperature reversed, is that ok

Doesn't matter what side the controls are, the pipes supplying it will have hot on left cold on right (generally)

It's ok as long as you can manage to control the temperature whether what side you are comfortable
