Hi
When changing a basin in a newly aquired old bungalow I had a problem as I came up against the cold supply being in Poly-York 17mm pipe. The hot was copper. Well I have overcome that problem hopefully by getting fittings 3/8 to 15mm which are Peglar Yorkshire PL140. I am adding this information in case anyone has this same problem.

The probem I have now is the waste from this basin measures measures 1-3/8'' o.d. and is a kind of bronze looking plastic. Can anyone please advise me if this can be joined with one of todays waste pipes?

Bartol coppertone. It is the same size as any other pushfit. If you are stuck use a multifit union.

I would like to replace it but its in a pretty hard to get place, but i havent completely ruled it out yet. It certainly sounds like this waste pipe is Bartol Coppertone as this is exactly how it looks. I have not heard of a multifit union bot that sounds a good option.
Thanks for your advice
