Hi all,

Got a ferroli optimax 31hc combi conrolled by a solus wireless stat, Turned the stat off to go away for the weekend just got back to find the ch on with the stat turned off!! The green light light was on the reciver box.

Turned the boiler off and on again,Then tried turning the stat on the green light light came on and the boiler tried to fire but then the green light goes off and the boiler then turns off But the stat is still showing the ch on flame.

any ideas as we have to wait ages for Ferroli to come out.

Thanks

Cheers for the reply.changed the battery in the stat still didnt work. checked on another site and it turns out with the salus stat we have there may be a problem if a power cut occurs? There was a bit of fisty cuffs about if this was true, the one guy says to re-set the units and change the jumper settings and try again. This has worked and everything seems to be fine. This what the other site had to say.
Cheers again

( One very important thing you should be made aware of is power cuts. If there is a cut in power to the RT500RF sender unit for only a second, then the whole unit needs to be reset - from scratch. Not nice during the cold winter nights. The radio frequency needs to be reset on the sender unit and the control panel, setting the jumper links on both units. This means removing the control unit from it's mounting and removing switches on the back of the control panel and resetting them with the jumper link switches on the sender. The cover of the sender needs to be removed and the sender unit removed from the housing, then the jumper link switches need to be reset. The reset button on the control panel needs to be pressed and hopefully both lights on the sender unit will light up. If not the rest button on the control panel needs to be pushed again and look out for both lights to come on on the sender unit. repeat until both lights are lit. This means that the 2 units are linked by radio.
Now all you have to do is remount the control unit and reprogram the control unit from scratch as pressing the reset button has removed any settings previously stored. Each time there is a cut in power the above procedure needs to be followed - not easy if you are not confident in these matters. If you are not confident about these things, get a simple timer and thermostat fitted instead - much simpler and the boiler will always come on automatically when any power cut is restored. Much less stress involved. Good luck - I'm selling 2 of these thermostat units)

salus stats are crap i have had loads go faulty, put in the bin and get a honeywell, mind that also goes for ferrolis[dont start off me on them]
