button
A button is a fastener that joins two pieces of fabric together by slipping through a loop or by sliding through a buttonhole.
In modern clothing and fashion design, buttons are commonly made of plastic but also may be made of metal, wood, or seashell. Buttons can also be used on containers such as wallets and bags. Buttons may be sewn onto garments and similar items exclusively for purposes of ornamentation. In the applied arts and craft, a button can be an example of folk art, studio craft, or even a miniature work of art. In archaeology, a button can be a significant artifact.
Koumpounophobia is the fear of buttons anecdotely linked to reports of smelling and dirty buttons.
I have a wall hung pan with a concealed cistern. The flush is the "old style" Grohe Eau2 dual flush pneumatic button. When pressed the flush valve lifts lightly and closes giving a very short weak flush. You can manually lift the flush valve in the cistern and it moves freely, flushes fine and...

Hello all.
First post and would really appreciate some advice / knowledge please.
I'm attempting a home DIY repair on a Climapro2 handset I have. Some corrosion/furring of the battery terminals that I've sorted, but the small button battery has also corroded and suspect is knackered. Display...
Can anyone advise where the reset button is on a franke omni boiler tank? Has stopped dispensing boiling water and when everything has been taken apart and refitted is still showing 2 green leds as if it’s ready to use
Hi, my Geberit duel push button has stopped flushing the toilet. When either button is pressed a small amount of water is released but not enough to flush the toilet. I have removed the plate holding the unit and pulled the 2 plastic tubes away. By blowing into the tubes the system flushes so I...
I have checked the seal of the flush valve unit having watch a number of youtube videos and its fine, but what the videos dont cover is, the water stops running when i detach the push button box that links with the valve to the push button. Only when i detach that does the water stop running so...
Does anyone know of any options for touchless flush kits (battery powered) for a Dudley push button, pneumatic flush? The Dudley one is well over £300 which seems really expensive when there are kits out there for non-pneumatic systems at less than £50.
Hi,
Our toilet button wont flush our toilet...it has two tubes coming from it (a white and black one) which go to the mechanism inside...I can lift the mechanism inside which flushes the toilet,so that works.

Hi, I hope it's ok to post this question on here as it might be considered and electrical problem on a dishwasher and nothing to do with the plumbing side.
It's an old integrated dishwasher with limited program control. I wanted to power save and put this dishwasher on at night to save energy...
Hi all,
Somehow my daughter managed to break our flush button. I can't see a way to glue this one together- and the way that the vanity unit has been installed means I can't remove the cistern to replace everything- so can anyone suggest a replacement push button for this? Thinking that I may...
hi there. immersion hasnt been heating water.

Anyone got an idea of the make of this flush valve? Trying to locate a replacement screw in push button. The diameter of the button unit is relatively large at 50mm. I have attached a picture of the valve itself.
Recently replaced an enclosed cistern with one of the exact same size but the new push flush button (pneumatic) is far larger than the old one (cable-operated). We would prefer to keep the smaller button but have been told that the large button will be needed to effectively operate the cistern...
Hi, I have purchased a new build property, which has a family bathroom, cloakroom and 2 en-suite shower rooms. All 4 basins have push button wastes in the basins. The 2 en-suite basins have a problem…. Waste push button is up, so open. Run the tap and the basin starts to fill even though the...
Hi,
My aunt asked me to have a look at her Geberit cistern which recently has suddenly stopped flushing on the short flush button. Long flush works normally as far as I can tell.
This is the flush mechanism (the label suggests PN 7074-98) , please excuse the mess:
Took the whole thing...
Hi,
For a while now one of my flush buttons on the toilet has started sticking down and so it just continues flushing. I can get it to pop back up by wiggling it around a bit but this is starting to get quite annoying.
Is there any part of the system I could easily replace myself that would fix...
The mode button on my flexicom 18hx boiler to alter the boiler heat settings is still working but has to be pressed much harder than it used to be pressed in order for the setting mode to display and allow the temperature setting to be changed. Is this likely to fail completely and what needs...
Hello folks,
Our push button toilet won't flush properly most of the time, if you push the button it makes a half-hearted attempt, but gives up; sometimes you have to push it quickly 3 or 4 times and it eventually flushes; occasionally it just won't do a proper flush and you have to leave it for...
