I have been reading this forum for some time but this is my first post.

At the moment I am having an old gas back boiler removed, and thinking of having a system boiler fitted.
If I have the new boiler fitted in the airing cupboard next to the hotwater cylinder (New cylinder to be fitted) Will I have noise problems, from the boiler in the bedroom where the airing cupboard is located.

welcome to the forum,

you will hear the boiler kiking in in the bedroom as this is not really the best location.
(say's he with a wor's/bosch in his sons bedroom) but thats the only practicle place to put it.
however with a good thick door on the cupboard it dont bother him too much.

not much noise from boilers nowadays fit lots of bedroom boilers especially in the scenario you describe

Agree.with most quality brand boilers it is hard to hear them, once in a cupboard you will not hear :)

Thanks to everyone for their advice,
Hope you all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
