Hi to 1 and all,
I just had to share an experience I have had. Recently had to attend a call to a school with a complaint of a 'high pitched screeching' , sometimes when the toilets were flushed.
When we got there one of the teacher s went on to explain that the water in the whb had no pressure and wc took forever to fill.
I will get straight to the good part; all 6 toilets /4 washroom locations are fed from 4 seperate 300 gal oil tanks and a twin impellor shower pump fitted on the same base as the tanks.
On each pump ...only one side of the pump is connected to the tank , which is supposed to kick in when a wc or whb is used. When the pump is running for any length of time ... no wonder it squeels.
On pointing out my findings I was told that this was the solution another plumber :hand: came up with when the problem of the mains being shut off during school times.
How the brain  works , or not for some.
Have a good day.
