My plumber has installed the plastic c/h pipes together down the wall. The rads will be fitted over them but I can't work out how he intends to connect them. He keeps promising to return but I haven't seen him since August. Can I fit them myself and how do they splay out to wards the valves?

Any chance of a few pictures please ?

yeah some pics would be nice, if there coming down the middle thats popular in new builds. then folk hang pictures above the rad and well you can imagine.

Pipes.jpg. I followed the insert image. I don't know if you can see the photo? I've not uploaded a pic before.

There are 4 like this. The rads are going to be the tall 1.8 metre type, so only 300mm width to play with.

If you have only paid him for what he has done then get someone else in to finish it. I doubt he intends coming back after 4 Months. I'm not a big fan of pushfit and don't generally use it unless I really have to but it's done now! I would also get it pressure tested before you fill the system.

Only paid for work carried out so far
. i.e. the installation of c/h pipes and water feeds. He has taken on a big apartment block. So his absence is genuine. But the missus is moaning about temperature.

Phone him and ask him straight if he is going to return in the next couple of weeks. If he can't give you a date then its time to go elsewhere if you want it finished this winter!

Even if he is a mate that is so unprofessional in my book.

This unit is located in France where they use diesel not kerosene. The feed from the underground tank is not getting through to the boiler. The boiler works fine if I connect the hoses up to a remote tank of diesel. I am assuming that a filter is blocked somewhere but there is nothing between...
