Just had a new APS fitted and unfortunately there was another fault, which needed a new PCB.

However on checking the boiler for the new fault the plumber found water in the pipe going to the APS, he doesn't know why water is in there.

It might be condensation but in the 15 plus years of the boiler being installed it's never had water in this pipe.

Trouble is, if water gets into the new APS it might all go wrong again.

So, any idea as to why there is water in this pipe please?

Your Heating Engineer will be able to diagnose the cause. It should be fairly obvious.

Thanks for the reply, but as I said in my post, he has no idea.

He checked all around the fan and found nothing amiss, and doesn't know how the water is getting in there.
