Why can't this be shortened, straight to the point and made in BIG bold letters in at least a size 24 pt font:
NO GAS OR BOILER QUESTIONS!!!
SIMPLES.
I asked for both The Gas open forum and the Central Heating forum, to be closed for this reason. Reporting and then closing threads on these 2 forums will just go on forever and probably keep getting worse as people post questions to try to save money in these trying times.Surely this topic raises a question mark over the wisdom of having a Gas Safe Register forum that is open to the public?
The person asking the question may be GSR, but then the discussion is open to all and sundry, and with a search facility on the board, any inquisitive DIY'er looking for know-how can search for the information they are looking for.
There's more to central heating than the boiler.
Totally disagree. People see "Central Heating" and think "Boiler". Central Heating issues in general that are not gas related could quite easily be discussed/covered in the Plumbing Forum. The central heating forum stays open as far as I'm concerned. There's more to central heating than the boiler.
We'd still be closing posts and threads, just in a different place.
