Hi everyone
We live in a very hard water area and already despite our best cleaning efforts, the water is building up stained deposits around the water flushing holes below the bowl rim edge of our relatively new wc.

Recently we were on holiday in Budapest and I noticed that the water there did not drop directly down into the water trap from a series of small holes like ours does, but was directed into it in a sideways swirling action. This mean the water swirled round all the bowl and seemed very effective to me. I looked for the manufacturer's name but it only said Gellert which I think means Hungarian.

I should like to try one out in my house but cannot find anything similar on sale here. Is this because it is not approved for some reason, or just not thought of. If I wanted to import one how would I go about it?

The only prob I see is that the waste outlet is the same style to the usa (through the floor)

yes cost way more to alter the soil pipe than the cost of the toilet in the first place[/QUOTe

So WCs which use this method of bowl cleaning have an under floor outlet for the soil pipe. Is the one dependent on the other? I mean could you have a swirling or cyclonic cleaning motion for the bowl flush with a uk type soil pipe? Is there a technical reason why not?

i've not seen one but that doesn't mean they aren't made for the UK

If Dyson made W.c pans then probably.
The only problem would be you wouldn't be able to hear yourself ***t
