overflowing washing machine

Hi i wonder if anyone can help please i have a customer whose washing machine emptys into a 42mm stand pipe via the flexi hose .Although the waste pipe is completly clear the washing machine water still overflows.Idont know why any helpfull suggestions gratefully recieved.

How tall is the standpipe?
Is the flexi pushed too far down it?
Is the waste clear all the way to the drain / gulley /stack?

Flexi prob pushed too far down the stand pipe....restricting flow of water causing it to overflow.... had a similar problem last year!
