dirty
Dirt is an unclean matter, especially when in contact with a person's clothes, skin, or possessions. In such cases, they are said to become dirty.
Common types of dirt include:
Dust: a general powder of organic or mineral matter
Filth: foul matter such as excrement
Grime: a black, ingrained dust such as soot
Soil: the mix of clay, sand, and humus which lies on top of bedrock. The term 'soil' may be used to refer to unwanted substances or dirt that are deposited onto surfaces such as clothing.

My kitchen tap is constantly dripping. I have changed the washer component but it still drips continuously.
Could the problem be that the seat of the washer is dirty?

Lets say I have a new boiler installed into a system which hasn't been very well flushed (or worse - not flushed), but I install a good filter.
If I clean the filter often, will the filter be able to protect the boiler?
I know that flushing is important and I've described an unlikely scenario...

Hi there. I have a Worcester Greenstar Heatslave (Oil)

My Mother had her microbore system powerflushed a couple of years ago by "Powerflush Ltd" ,who did a marvelous job of cleaning out 40 years worh of sludge and got all her rads working again. The guy who did it, was honest enough to warn us that due to the microbore system having such stupidly...
