Hi, I have just moved the washing machine into the garage and it will not drain.

I wonder if it's something to do with the way I have installed the waste?

The washing machine is only a month old and was working fine this morning before re-positioned.

I put an 1100mm hoorizontal run at around 500mm high to the soil stack through the new downstairs toilet in the new extension, the washing mchine is the connected to that on a u bend trap (I'll post a pic).

The washine machine has gone through its cycle but wont finish as its not pumping the water out, its obviously an issue with the waste arrangement.

Can anyone advise a possible solution please?

Any help would me hugely appreciated

Have you put it on a drain cycle to check it still won't clear?

There doesn't look like a reason it won't clear unless you've forgotten to drill a hole in the stack and its pumping against a sealed end. (I've done that before for a macerator!)

Remove pipe from waste and dump into bucket to see if its the machine first.
Just done that and found a small black stopper cap thingy stuck in the pipe!

Must have been on the end of the nozzle attached to the waste, I should have removed that first, what a fool.

All seems to be working as intended now.

Thank you for your replies and help, very much appreciated
