Do they sell a variety of 1/4 turn ceramic disc tap heads at plumbers merchants, suppose there is many different types? Got one to swap as is leaking.

Thanks do they have a better selection there?

They usually have 3 or 4 types at least, in single or pairs, but most of them look identical, so bring the old head part with you & ask the staff to open one to see if head fits the splines on the new spindle. I find that the spares tend to cover a lot of taps.
There are 8mm, 9mm, 10mm width splines for a start. Then there are different amount of splines. There are also more unusual types like Franke, which are better exact type ordered. It's completely mad!

Take a decent hacksaw or an angle grinder as the universal ones have long splines and make the original tap head protrude. Rip them down accurately and use a fine file to de burr splines

How much are the ceramic disc tap heads usually? I guess if I can't get the right type I may have to swap the tap.

They are roughly £15 for a pair @ b&q but think they only stock either the 8 or 9mm spline......ceramic tap glands are a pain in the a55 if you ask me, there are that many different sizes & shapes, I could fill the van with replacements!

selco builders merch have started stocking the plastic ceramic glands for the single lever monoblock mixers so they are always worth keeping in mind.

As mentioned previous, always worth replacing the pair as opposed to just the one at fault
