heads
A head is the part of an organism which usually includes the ears, brain, forehead, cheeks, chin, eyes, nose, and mouth, each of which aid in various sensory functions such as sight, hearing, smell, and taste, respectively. Some very simple animals may not have a head, but many bilaterally symmetric forms do, regardless of size.
Heads develop in animals by an evolutionary trend known as cephalization. In bilaterally symmetrical animals, nervous tissues concentrate at the anterior region, forming structures responsible for information processing. Through biological evolution, sense organs and feeding structures also concentrate into the anterior region; these collectively form the head.

My father's bath has unknown make tap heads, which turn one way for the side filler & the other for the shower. The heads are a bit like upside-down saucepans but with rectangular block handles - the saucepan look was everywhere a few years ago IIRC (a bit like the pic š). However AFAICT...

Just left a job literally, tenant contacted landlord with smell of gas. Tightness okay, gas sniffer didnāt pick up anything either. I got out the analyser and 50ppm in airing cupboard, tenant had rammed a ton of junk in the cupboard and dislodged the condensate pipe. The trap was bone dry....she...
I have looked at a range of TRV heads costing between Ā£10 and Ā£60 and it seems until you buy them, you don't really know what you are getting for your money. They all use batteries, they all allow multi temperatures to be set depending on time of day and day of week.
Some are direct entry only...
I have Drayton TRV4's and over the last few years quite a number of the sensing heads have started to break off. As far as I can tell the gland seal on the valve starts to weep, water gets into the plastic head and attacks the plastic which becomes brittle and cracks.
They were fitted 18 years...
