Great, thanks. This will be the most cost effective method for me....i'll gìve it a go!Black iron oxide has a density of 5.17g/cm3, this can hold 500g in total, meaning on average an area of 100cm3 plus a little. If system content is medium it should be ok, if however it’s on the large scale then maybe not. Remember the reservoir will still contain some that isn’t attracted to magnet. When I power flushed we used a chemical to break down any sludge and a silt free chemical to stop sludge re-binding and circulated back through system
I haven’t read all posts but, how are you going to stick it in the water? What if I stuck one of these in the water?

No, never.Have you ever powerflushed before vik
If I’m honest it is an art and there is a method to it.No, never.

I have read up about the method and am comfortable with that. I would have got a plumber in but the ones I have had in I wouldn't trust to do a thorough job, unfortunately. If I’m honest it is an art and there is a method to it.
I will use the Nostrom power flush and connect via the radiator pipes in the kitchen. How are you connecting the machine to the system? Which machine are you using?
I was going to do that but then I saw a video by Nostrom who said it was fine to connect to the rad......any particular benefit via your method?I wouldn’t connect at a rad. I would remove the pump and connect there mate.
Yes mate. You want to be attached to as big a pipework as possible. 22mm off the pump 15mm off the rad.I was going to do that but then I saw a video by Nostrom who said it was fine to connect to the rad....any particular benefit via your method?
A plumber came and believes 99% that the pump requires changing. Thanks - this morning the boiler isn't firing up!
Does anyone know of a reliable boiler expert in the Kent area (DA14)?
