Are fast blow fuses usually universal?
Called into an alpha where the 2amp fast blow fuse has gone. Plumbcentre dont stock them but they have regin

Yes aslong as the rating is the same a fuse is a fuse

I usually get my fuses from a specialist electronics shop. Fuses have many characteristics. Typical are F for fast blow and T for time delayed (slow blow)
Its usually very hard to read them, my eyes are crap so i usually take it with me and the guys in the shop get a bright light and magnifying glass to work it out. quick blow ones are usually for protecting electronics, slow blow for combating surge on power up.
cheers

I just use one of these
