Hi, I hope someone can offer some advice.

Were having a conservatory built to the back of our house, the kitchen is staying where it is so the drains from the washing machine and sink/dishwasher run into the drain gulley in the conservatory.

At at first the gulley and drains we're going to be moved but this wasn't possible as we would have lost space in the conservatory, so we were told the gulley would be capped and sealed.

Now the concrete has been poured into the floor and were left with the gulley, there was no mention of capping and sealing it, just concreting over it? Surely that's not right? I can't even understand how it would be capped and sealed because the pipes run into it.

Anyway...what I would like to know is: could it be capped and sealed? Can it be concreted over? If it blocked would they be able to unblock it from the manhole rather than keeping the gulley? Or is there an alternative way we can get the waste from the house?

Thanks in advance. :)

best chat to your building regs officer for what he would like to see. I would remove the gully, replace with a bend and upstand, which I would run the waste into via a rubber/glued sealing cap and rely on the p/s traps to prevent any smells and have it flushed to floor if possible.
