Hiya, can I bypass the Boss therm BPS242RF BR1 part so I can use the central heating till I get a replacement, hot water's ok.
Ive got neutral and live on top connector, L1 is earth, LX is a link to L top block, L2 no connection. The 3 main wires come from the boiler, not from the fused spur. Any reply appreciated. Thanks.

L1 isnt earth, there is no need to earth the thermostat the earth is used as switch live (which you arent supposed to do without at least taping over the earth cable).
Link L with L1 to bypass thermostat

Flex your fine but need brown sheathing
Twin and earth your not allowed even if you sheath it

Thanks for the replies, Stanios and ShaunCorbs, so do I just take the wire out of LX and connect it to L1, leave everything else as it is. Thanks.

Yes if there are only two wire

If there's 3 you need to find out which is the neutral and don't link that one but put a connector on it to make it safe

Thanks, so I've got the link from the L top connector in L1 as well as the earth/switch live (2 wires total) nothing in LX or L2, 2 wires in L top connector, 1 wire in N connector. Thanks.
