Hi all,

I am doing some work in my bungalow and need a bit of advice.

I have a toilet, bath and sink in my bathroom which has an AAV and am looking to add an ensuite. The Architect/Engineer drawings which are below show the new toilet tied into the existing 110 soil pipe, however after a lot of digging , no pipe.:(

Marked with a red arrow in the attached plan is the location of a soil pipe that used to service my kitchen before being capped off when the room use changed.
Distance between ensuite toilet and capped soil pipe approx 3.5m

Could I utilise this drain for the services from the ensuite and would an AAV in loft be suitable or vent required ?

Welcome to the forums Davie, don`t know myself but hang around as pretty sure somebody will.

Cheers, I'm hoping the pipework all leads to single external drainage pipe but not sure. House was built in 85 so fairly modern.

Thanks

I am in process of replacing an existing sink with a new stainless steel one. The existing tap is plumbed directly to copper which means that it is earthed. The new tap will use flexible tails and so will not be earth bonded. My initial search for information suggests that there is no legal...
