just seen scotts post and just seen an email from customer

just quoted against two muppets

back boiler to combi (combi going in airing cupboard)
hes suppling the boiler and flue (shitty ideal icos)
remove all the tanks, cylinder and back boiler
new gas run 2 lengths of 22mm tube
boiler flue to go through the old prefab houses (eg concrete siding/panels)
condense is a big run plus you have to make your own entry in to the manhole (3 lengths of 11/2)
flush and chems the system as its back boiler

also first and second fix a basin all in chrome with also an outside tap
2 lengths of 15mm chrome tube
chrome bottle trap etc

price for the above ish will tell you the prices later

£1500-£2000 if they supply everything but pipe, fittings and sundries

My price 1.7k

The other two

£912 including vat
£850 no vat

1.7k sounds fair to me considering you have seen the job and know what is involved.
the other 2 guys prices are a joke. No way are they going to do a proper job including a powerflush for that money. They will have it just thrown in, all done & dusted in 1 day with corners cut all over the place.
Probably guaranteed for as long as their van is parked on the customers driveway.

Here we are again with such a quote what do people expect to get? Pushfit all over the place, plastic pipes everywhere , no clippings, perhaps gas pipe work mixed with plastic push fits ... the first one is funny with 912 Incl. Vat hahha

It’s easy 2 day’s job ... if not 3 if doing a proper neat job.
