I've an old warmflow boiler, when it's switched on I can hear it running but its not catching. I can hear it trying to catch every 10 seconds or so but it just wont. Theres no lock out, it's not that it needs bled. I was on to an engineer about it, he thought low oil, I got oil today so not that. Any ideas or should I get another engineer? TIA

Was your oil low / empty tho ?

Riello burner? Got a pic? Did you run out of oil? Have you kept pressing lockout button to reset?

What's the end of the photocell like? Give it a wipe.

Could be photocell, could be control box.

It ran out before but then I got oil and had it bled and all was fine for a while, then it started not catching. I haven't hit the reset because the boilers been on and it hasn't lit. No idea what photocell even is haha

Mectron burner, dont like the poc on the boiler casing.
Needs an oil engineer. Need to get it running, check combustion and change the burner and flange seals.

Not familiar with this burner, I do very little oil. But if it’s run out/low, will likely need new oil filter/pump cleaning and I’d put new nozzle/s in.

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
