Hi everyone,
first time posting so please be gentle.
mounting gas bills has pushed me in the direction of fitting 2 way valves and a new control system.

current system has two pumps, one for heating the other for dhw. Both are controlled by stats.
problem is the boiler has no interlock and even when both pumps are off the boiler keeps cycling on and off to keep itself up to its own internal temp set on the boiler control panel.

result is big waste of gas.:sad_smile::sad_smile:

way forward is valves on both heating circuit and dhw together with suitable control interlock. To turn boiler completely off when not asking for any heat.
Result big gas saving :smiley2:

My question is please,I want to go wireless controls to save on wiring costs etc.
can anyone suggest or recommend a wireless room thermostat together with a matching programer.
programer must be suitable to control both water and heating and have full seven day features.
idealy be able to have selectable room temps for different times of day aswell.

regards to all,
john

You probably don't have to go wireless, just reconfigure the wiring of the existing system.
It really depends on what boiler you have and the wiring associated.

You could reconfigure the wiring to the pumps so the boiler only comes on when the pumps are running

You have an old system, where the pumps direct primary flow to either heating or hot water. A problem, as you have identified, is difficulty linking boiler activation with pumps, as if both pumps shared common terminal with boiler all would become live at same time. Solution is to reconfigure with valves and single pump. Programme determines valve opening. valve open energizes pump and boiler.
