Which wires are connected to what, SwitchMaster VA1 to Honeywell 3 port. Thanks

Hi, went to change a 3 port valve this morning, old one has 6 wires, new one only has 5. What does the extra wire on the old Switchmaster VA1 do, and how do I connect the new Honeywell 3 post 5 wire to the old 6 wire arrangement. Thanks.
