Wondered if any one could recommend a tool that chamfers/deburrs waste pipes of both 32mm and 40mm. i used to have one that was shaped similar to a heart with an internal blade and recesses to accept both sizes. now all i seem to be able to find are ones for each individual pipe size

Any help would be much appreciated

Sounds a bit of a gimmick to me. Another one trick pony that would clog up the tool bag & go missing when you need it.
A Stanley knife does the job every bit a well & has many other uses too

think theres a pipe deburring tool in toolstation or screwfix, i have one, hardly use it. i find running fingers around edge does fine, might add thats solvent weld pipe, pushfit different

You can get a deburring tool that looks like a pipeslice with an arrowhead type blade. Seen them but never found the need for one. ABS or MU use your fingers poly use the edge of a halfround file.

I carry a lathe in the back of the van which I get out when needed to give me a nice finish :D

Get a 1/2 round (Good Quality) file its a must have in a plumbers toolbag. It will deburr all sizes of pipes and has many other uses.

"has many other uses"

Like pulling the upstand pipe off a side entry immersion when fitting a sidewinder?

Oops. Showing my age :D

thanks for all replies

i appreciate what you say about file, knifes etc but this tool was so damn good, juts a couple of turns and your pipe was deburred evenly on inner and outer edge.

many thanks anyway
