vaillant boiler f22 fault code

Hi, Ive just called in to see my mum and, when I looked at her boiler it has the above error code.

Ive search the internet and found out what the problem is, but I dont know how to fix it, the council are coming out to
sort the problem but not till tuesday.

So can anyone point in the right direction on how to fix it now, instead of waiting?
