im about purchase a bear hug wrench or a monument stiff nut removal kit has anyone used or can recommend any of these tools?

I've had the rothenburger telescopic tap wrench in the past but it's usually far too bulky in tight spaces and the telescopic bit seizes up rendering that part of it useless. I've had a lot better time using the monument type with changeable heads, one for baths one for basins and sinks. Sometimes it just requires brute force! Especially on a cast iron bath!

I've got the bear hug one & find it pretty good.

ive got jaw droppers and bear huggers prefer the jaw droppers

the armeg jaw droppers are they strong enough to undo 20 yr old seized backnuts?
The bear huggers look much stronger but too bulky foy getting under basins

Just googled these jaw droppers, can't believe I haven't seen them before! ÂŁ50 seems a bit steep tho

Never quite worked out the fuss with the Jaw Droppers.

I use a basic monument basin wrench, with the two different size heads. Its not sprung, or ratcheting, or fancy in any way. Its slim, and simple and nearly always does the job without a fuss.

im with danny im on my third and probably last set of monuments very seldom they fail and ive yet to see anything that looks like it will do any bette, rwhat ever you use theres going to be the odd tap that will have to be cut out
one tip is ,to reach the far bath tap easier take the overflow out im always amazed how many people struggle round it

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
