We have a sealed system combi unit which is about 8 years old. For about the last three months we sometimes get pinging noises from our radiators which usually occur at night after the heating has been off for many hour. There is no regularity to the timing of the noises and we can go days without any noises. We have bled all the rads and have a magnatec and a limescale inhibitor fitted. Most of the rads are less than three years old however we still have two rads which are at least 20yrs old. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Before any of you start with your shenanigans. ... The OP is not me on a second account. ....

Oh Croppie as if that thought had crossed any of our minds....lol regards Turnpin:rofl:

Its the radiator to bracket, should have plastic U shaped pads between rad and bracket otherwise they ping on expansion and contraction :)

Thanks for the advice however we have not had the central heating on at all today and they have just started pinging. I have just bled the rads and got a bit of air out of the towel rad but that has made no difference. Any ideas?
