hey folks. Is the above allowed or not? I’m thinking that by modifying it, it may become unfit for purpose? Cheers folks

Sorry chaps. It wasn’t something I modified and it was a complete false alarm. Basically I had to replace a clay vent pot for a metallic one. The fact that there was no gas fire at the bottom of the chimney made me laugh.
