Just moved into a new build property and having the bathrooms tiled. Unfortunately, the toilets and sinks are all level with the floor. My tiler is telling the finish will be better if I can raise the sink and toilet in all three bathrooms, to tile underneath. Tiler has offered to re tile any damaged wall tiles if I choose to do this. I'm a bit reluctant to do this given the bathroom finish is currently to a very high standard and seems a shame to disturb it all. Tiler good and will tile around sink and toilets if he has too.

What I'm wondering is from a plumbing perspective how difficult a job it to raise sinks and toilet? Looking at it, the sink bowl and toilet water tank would also have to be raised, this is in all three bathrooms. Also very roughly what sort of costs would I be looking at?

It`s not hard to do, cost wise varies from area to area and you will get a better response from the guys if you register as a member and say where you are.

Difficulty wise depends if all pipeworks boxed in could be a right pain if not and you can see it shouldn't be to bad if the feeds come out the floor properly be enough movement in them as there likely to be plastic waste won't be as easy may have to change to offset pan connector s
