Hi. Is there any alternative for hot water re-circulation pipework. I know hep2o and speedfit will not allow it but is there anything else other then copper?

Thanks

Hi. Anything other then press fittings?

on mclp no just pressed where you cant get to and compression where you can eg pump valves

On domestic properties Speedfit, Polyplumb ect, I have never been a problem using them on HWSR. All the manufacturers state that it cant be used because of warranty issues. As long as the pipework can cool and the return pump is not on 24/7 I cant see it being a problem, after all in the winter months the heating could be on 24/7 and use plastic pipe.

Hope your insurance policy is kept up to date! The manufacturer's have categorically stated that their product is not to be used on secondary returns. If there is an issue the household insurance company will use that as a wriggle and then they'll come after you!
