hi

i've got a honeywell st9400c programmer that's unresponsive and just has the word "internal" on the display. the central heating light is on on the programmer and the central heating works via the roomstat ok, but the hot water doesn't work. i'm not sure if the fault all lies with the programmer and the heating just happened to be on at the time of malfunction and hence its now stuck on and useable or there's a fault with the system itself?

i'm going to get the heating engineer out, but was curious if anyone knows what "internal" on the display means?

thanks in advance

roly

thats a new one on me !!!, i am sure somebody will be along shortly to help, if not ring honeywell tech in the morning. They are very helpful.

thanks for your help!

i've just checked and the heating is still stuck on, when it would have switched off by now automatically, so i'm guessing its just the programmer that's packed up.

Hi! I have a couple of those programmers in stock but had a look online for instructions & the fault finding part says that Internal fault displayed means there is something wrong with the programmer & to contact your installer.
Did you have a power failure? You could try turning all power off to your programmer/ heating & leave it for a short while before turning back on, but you may need a new clock sadly. Check incase it is within warranty period.

thanks for all the help guys. i've got him coming out today to change the programmer.

I have had this problem twice, once in the warrenty period and now one outside the period, this may be a fault with this make of programmer?

I suspect they got it sorted after two years buddy
