Reading HVP this morning and came across happy taps, just wondered out of curiosity if anyone has used them or had dealing with them?

Not for £50 to fix anything

Eg £50 to fix boiler
£50 to install new shower

Etc

I'm just about to do a major refurb of my own bathroom and I'll happily pay him to do it

They charge £89 but I'm sure if you want to cut the middle man out he will be fine with that ;D

Had my phone interview thing with them on Friday, ended up saying it's not for me, the money is crap and wanted me to work up to 50miles from my home but not get paid diesel... so if I had a job 50 mile away that would be 100mile round trip and only get the £50 for the job... wouldn't cover the diesel.

Recently had a Viessmann Vitodens combi boiler installed, quite often when the adjacent cold mixer tap is opened the boiler starts for a few seconds! Can anyone tell me what is causing this? And how to cure?

I have attached an image of the brass body within a tap. Having replaced a cartridge which has cured a leaking tap, I can see that there is a small leak from the brass body which can be unscrewed. Is there a seal behind the body? Thanks.

Our kitchen mixer tap has started dripping. Like so much of the plumbing in our almost new build bungalow, it is lacking! The plumber didn't install any isolating cocks in the H&C feed to the tap so how can I identify which of the valves is passing? Shut the whole H&C water system down?

Hello all, I'm would like to extend an existing outside tap to another point in the garden. I'm about to pour a concrete patio and was hoping to run the water line underneath. There are existing drain (and who knows what) pipes running along the same wall so I'm nervous about digging too far...
