Hi all,

I am currently in the process of completing my Gas portfolio and have just started to complete some installs.

I have a question regarding gas rate/heat input on a Glow worm Energy 12r which I am currently installing.

I would like to know which Kw figure I use to compare my calculated heat input too. I put the boiler into high mode and timed 1 revolution on the imperial meter at the property.

Do I use the maximum heat-input for heating or maximum heat-input for hot water? I can't find a rate for the boiler when its running at maximum rate.

Any help would be much appreciated.

below is a screen shot from the manual

If the boiler is set into test mode Qnw should be 15.3Kw - 1.62m3/hr. It will be clearly stated in the MI’s - but maybe not in the specification sheet that you have pictured. Read the section in the MI’s which should outline how to undertake the Gas Rate test and the specification of acceptable results

If JimmyP is installing the boiler and checking the gas rate, he shouldn't. The person who is mentoring (qualified gas engineer) should be, and would know where and how to look.
